The eyes, the lump in the throat, the moles, the mattress: they all speak. Sometimes they are warning voices, sometimes they comfort Aaron, sometimes the inner dialog escalates into an argument. But they can no longer remain silent. They describe, name and shout out what Aaron can’t find the words for: He was abused as a child and when he tried to talk about it, he was condemned to silence.
